Since the establishment of GHTK, we have been successful in reducing the neonatal death rate by over 40%, and we have achieved this by working in partnership with those on the ground in Guyana to update the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), purchase much needed equipment and establish sustainable educational programs for physicians and nurses. We could not do this without the support of those who believe in the work we do, and which is ongoing.
